🧆 Went to Taza in Middleton last night and FEASTED. The decor and ambience is pretty meh over there and the food is FANTASTIC. So. Many. Vegan. Options. It isn't often that I find something on a menu that I have never tried before at a Mediterranean restaurant, and I found a few things! The chickpea and bean stew was so delicious. I am an almost 50 year old Italian-American, and this was the most garlic I've ever had in one dish. That's saying something. But I loved it. So much flavor. The pita bread is served soft, warm and steaming. We also got a spinach lentil soup, and a yellow pea dal that came with our meals as sides. The spinach pie can also be ordered vegan, and it is so rich. The spinach filling is creamy and flavorful, (you know sometimes that other places it can be dry, and this was not). It's really exceptional. It also comes with a creamy tahini sauce that does not include dairy! Oh and does that say vegan baklava? YES IT DOES. We also had cardamom almond dates, and they were so perfect with a cup of decaf after the meal. I was truly in heaven. This place is a must visit. Super friendly service, but it would also be great as take out. I can't wait to go back... I haven't even tried the falafel yet!
I felt so welcomed, the service was top notch. I ordered my favorite dish of many years. Such delicious and high-quality food. Great selections of both vegetarian and meat options. A well earned favorite restaurant!
Nothing to complain about… just they ran out of my regular coffee. BUTTTT everything else was Really good! Esp loved the hummus with ground beef (I forgot what’s it called). However the Arabic coffee was niceee it’s not even spice up to other coffee I’ve tried. The price is acceptable and the server is very friendly and been checking up on us~!
Really good food. We loved the lamb kebab and gyro combo lunch meals. Good portion sizes. Food was really tasty. No thrills decor and service - basic. Would give an overall 4-4.5 rating for the place, but food was really good bumping it to 4.5-5.0. Very tasty.
Such a great authentic restaurant. We started with hummus and grape leaves for appetizers and in hindsight we would’ve been full off of all the hummus with our dish (they have big servings) but it was so good. Very creamy and flavorful. The Greek salad was delicious but a ton of feta. For the entree I had chicken kebabs which were excellent. And the desserts were made very well. Overall a great place for Mediterranean food and their staff were all so nice and helpful.
The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors. Every dish tasted fresh and well-prepared, and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Mediterranean cuisine. I will definitely be coming back!
As of Jan 2026, Taza now takes the top spot in Madison for Middle-Eastern fare. 🔥🫓🇱🇧 Warm, friendly, fast service. You can also tell the chef pours love into the dishes and prepares them as authentic as possible. It could use some small sprucing up, but it's still warm and inviting. Great value for the food quality. I recommend the tawook + kafte combo 🔥
This place was great! Staff were SO friendly and helpful. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Portion sizes and prices were perfect - not too big so go ahead and order an appetizer too. Hummus was so creamy and smooth. I had the kibbee balls, tabbouleh salad, the chicken shawarma combo, and the knafeh for dessert. So unique! They even have pantry items for sale like jars of grape leaves, jars of tahini, and bags of pistachios.
I had a wonderful experience here. Highly recommend the grilled protein platter!!! 😍 Staff are really attentive. Food was absolutely stunning and delicious. Yellow rice could have been slightly more flavorful- otherwise lovely meal and would return!
Met a friend here for dinner. First visit for both of us. We were seated immediately. The restaurant filled while we were eating. We had the Arabic coffee which was very different but good. We were there for a long time. The servers were respectful. The menu is interesting. Serving portions are Iarge. I would go back and try some of their other items.
